Future Sponsors

Team 1429 and Galena Park High School have invested in a robotics program that encourages students to the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. With rapidly changing technology in today’s society, there is a growing need of understanding and innovation. FIRST Team 1429, Team KAOS, is committed to providing an environment that promotes our students to have a better understanding of real life situations, and build a more technologically literate workforce.

Since its inception in 2002, Team KAOS has had the opportunity to compete in several robotics competitions all over the nation. The FIRST Robotics Competitions and the VEX Robotics Competitions are exciting, multinational competitions that team professionals and young people have to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. In order to achieve our goals, Team KAOS asks Corporate America to help fund our cause. In today’s economy, money is hard to come by and companies have to cut back on funding for community outreach programs. Furthermore, we seek financial support to help us achieve our goals. Company contributions would help pay for registration costs and robot parts. Any amount that can be contributed will be greatly appreciated and will assist our team to reach our goals.

15 Ways Sponsors Can Help Our Team

  • Provide financial support to the team.
  • Provide engineering/technical mentors for a team. Any level of involvement welcome.
  • Provide non-technical mentors for a team. Includes working with finances, publicity, graphic design…the possibilities are endless!
  • Provide robot services: machining/welding help.
  • Donate materials for the robot.
  • Supply meals or snacks for the team. Anything is appreciated.
  • Donate t-shirts.
  • Donate banners to be used in the pit, in the stands, for demonstrations. List your company as a sponsor.
  • Donate transportation for the team to an event (and then invite them to come along with you!)
  • Come to competitions to support the team and get the true FIRST experience.
  • Donate a speaking engagement – have someone from the company come talk about their job and how science and technology affects their everyday life.
  • Help get our team into the media! Sometimes larger sponsors have media contacts.
  • Invite us to tour their facilities; let us use the equipment; mentor us in use of equipment. Many of our students have not been exposed to the workplace – let them see what a machine shop is like, what an office is like; what the manufacturing floor looks like.
  • Provide job-shadowing, summer internships, or job opportunities for graduating students.
  • Mention our robotics teams in your newsletters, or on your website.
